TULSA – FC Tulsa’s home match at ONEOK Field on Wednesday night will be featured as the SiriusXM FC “Game of the Week” as the USL Championship announced a broadcast partnership with the satellite radio giant on Tuesday morning. The broadcast will be the first for the league following the announcement of a two-year partnership between the league and SiriusXM.
“To be chosen as the inaugural host of the SiriusXM FC ‘Game of the Week’ shows that all of the hard work we have put in over the last nine months to be a premier global soccer brand is paying off,” said FC Tulsa president James Cannon. “In our home opener at ONEOK Field last week, we showed our fans what the new era of this franchise is all about. This week, soccer fans around the nation will get that same FC Tulsa experience through the SiriusXM broadcast.”
Last week, FC Tulsa debuted a broadcast team on TV partner My41 Tulsa of Dave Saunders and Anna Beffer who received national acclaim for their call of FC Tulsa’s home opener. Saunders, a seasoned broadcasting talent who previously called English Football League soccer for BBC Radio pairs with local color commentator Beffer who starred collegiately at Oklahoma State. Saunders and Beffer’s call will be the one heard on SiriusXM FC.
As a part of the league’s partnership, SiriusXM will be the exclusive radio home of both the USL Championship Final and the USL League One Final.
FC Tulsa will face off against Austin Bold FC on Wednesday night in a big Group D matchup as Tulsa looks to remain undefeated in 2020. Tickets to see the match are available for fans starting at just $8 and can be purchase by visiting www.fctulsa.com/tickets.
