FC Tulsa fans, it’s time for you to do your thing once again. Darío Suárez’s sensational score against the Rowdies in the first round of the Playoffs has been nominated by the USL Championship for the Goal of the Playoffs!
In the 90’, Super Darío got the ball at his feet courtesy of Bradley Bourgeois and Tampa Bay had no chance from there. The Cuban crossed over the ball with his right foot to get the Rowdies’ defender leaning, then cut back on his left foot to create a shooting lane for himself.
He then let loose a screamer from 25 yards out, a knuckling upper-90 shot that one of the best keepers in the League could not get a hand to. The shot was even featured in the No. 7 spot on SportsCenter’s Top 10 plays of the evening, earning Suárez national recognition for his tremendous effort.
