TULSA, Oklahoma (Tuesday, September 24th, 2019) – Tomorrow evening Tulsa Roughnecks FC will host San Antonio FC in USL Western Conference play. Kickoff from ONEOK Field (Tulsa, OK) is set for 7:00 P.M.
This USL Championship match will be the second time the two sides meet this season. The first match at Toyota Stadium (San Antonio, TX) finished 1-1 with San Antonio FC goalkeeper Matt Cardone being credited for Tulsa’s goal. A Da Costa freekick that hit the post and came back off the San Antonio goalkeeper.
Tulsa Roughnecks FC enter the match with a 6-13-10 record sitting 16th in the USL Championship Western Conference. San Antonio FC sit one place below the final playoff spot in 11th with 38 points.
Tulsa Roughnecks FC go into tonight’s match following a 1-0 defeat to 4th place Orange County, holding the playoff team to a scoreless game up until the final minute of the match. Tulsa Roughnecks FC are not eliminated from the playoff race yet, with making 10th place still mathematically possible.
San Antonio FC have a 10-11-8 overall record. San Antonio FC have Frank Lopez who has found the net 13 times in 25 appearances, a player who creates many chances for San Antonio FC taking 62 shots this season. Tulsa Roughnecks back line will need to account for Lopez’s creativity tomorrow evening.
