Luke Spencer
Spencer enters the helm after spending the 2024 season as an assistant coach for the club. A proven winner, Spencer was a former Louisville City FC forward, leading them to their 2018 USL Championship Final victory. Retiring as a player in 2020, Spencer served as Assistant Academy Director and Recruitment Coordinator with Louisville City FC. Soon after, Spencer took over as the Director of Louisville City’s Youth Academy. Spencer played four seasons of college soccer at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, and was drafted by New England Revolution in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft.
ALEX MENTA
Mario Sanchez
Sanchez, who previously led the club as both head coach and technical director, will concentrate exclusively on his role as technical director in 2025, continuing to shape the club’s long-term vision and player development strategy. He most recently comes from NWSL’s Racing Louisville FC as Technical Director and Assistant Coach. In 2021, Sanchez served as Racing’s Interim Head Coach. Sanchez also served as the Academy Director for both Louisville City FC and Racing Louisville. The California native played collegiate soccer at Fresno State and played professionally for several years. Sanchez started his coaching career in 1999 coaching at Fresno State and later at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, University of Louisville, and Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville.
ANDY COSTIN
Andy is the current Director of Performance at FC Tulsa. With a master’s degree in high-performance sport, he is a seasoned professional in sport science and coaching. Before joining FC Tulsa halfway through the 2023 season, Andy had been working in the Championship in England with Ipswich Town and Bristol City. Costin was head coach at Limestone Coast Sporting Academy and Head of Sport at an Australian high school.
BERNARDO IPANEMA
Ipanema was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He graduated from Oklahoma State University with a major in Sports Management and double minors in Entrepreneurship and Marketing. He has spent 3 years with FC Tulsa and was previously with the Chicago Fire.
BOBY CARREÑO
CHRISTINA WEST
Christina is in her second season with FC Tulsa. West, a Kansas City, Missouri native, played NCAA Division II collegiate soccer. West obtained her Masters of Science in Health and Human Performance from Oklahoma State University. While receiving her Masters, West served as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer for the OSU women’s tennis team. Her experiences include; Athletic Trainer for Kansas City Command, KC Renegades, Arkansas State University, USTAPD, FC Kansas City, Kansas City Comets, FC Kansas City Academy, and the University of Oklahoma in soccer and track & field. West has 14 certifications relating to her field.
