The first 1,500 fans will receive bobbleheads of Tulsa product Cristian Mata compliments of Case & Associates and Tulsa’s Channel 8!
THE BROADCASTS – The match will be the USL Game of the Week and will be televised live on ESPN 3. It will mark the Roughnecks’ first-ever national broadcast.
Fans in Tulsa can listen to the match live on AM 1300 with Jeremie Poplin and David Saunders calling the action. The pregame show will begin at 7:15PM.
LOS DOS – The Galaxy II have arguably been the most successful MLS 2 team since joining USL in 2014. In their first season, Los Dos won 17 regular season games, second-most in the league. Last year, they won 14 regular season games and advanced to the USL Championship Game before losing at Rochester in extra time.
THIS SEASON – The Galaxy II will present a tough challenge for the Roughnecks. Los Dos has 22 points in 14 matches this season, losing only two times. However, in their last six matches, they have won only once and have played to four draws.
TRFC will look to bounce back from its worst loss in two seasons of USL play, dropping a 7-1 decision to Saint Louis last Saturday. The Roughnecks are winless in their last four matches and have 7 points in 12 outings this season.
WHO TO WATCH – Sammy Ochoa continues to lead the Roughnecks in all offensive categories. The former Seattle Sounders striker has six goals and three assists on the season.
Jasson Ramos Carpio is pushing for more playing time from Head Coach David Irving. The Guatemala native celebrated his 22nd birthday with his second goal of the season in St. Louis on Saturday after coming on as a second-half subsitute.
Jack McBean again leads the attack for Los Dos. McBean tops all USL strikers with 11 goals this season
GARRY LEWIS TO MAKE TULSA DEBUT – Midfielder Garry Lewis will make his home debut for the Roughnecks on Friday. Lewis has joined the Roughnecks on loan from the Jacksonville Armada of the North American Soccer League and started last week’s match at Saint Louis. The University of North Carolina product has spent time in Finland prior to joining the Armada this season.
FIRST OF 2 ON ESPN 3 – Friday’s match is the first of two straight home matches at ONEOK Field that will be shown on ESPN 3. The match on July 1, when the Roughnecks host Arizona United, will also be televised live.
MARCH TO THE MATCH
At 7:15pm, all fans are invited to participate in the March to the Match that will be led by the Roustabouts and La Union 918. The March will begin at the Oil Derrick Entrance at the corner of Archer and Elgin.
PRE & POST MATCH GATHERINGS AT LEFTY’S ON GREENWOOD
Lefty’s on Greenwood will be open to host fans of all ages prior to the match with food and drink specials. After the match, Roughnecks players will attend an After Match Party at Lefty’s, which is located across the street from ONEOK Field at the corner of Archer Street and Greenwood Avenue.
