The Roughnecks travel to California Friday night for their second straight meeting with the Los Angeles Galaxy II. The two sides played to an entertaining 2-2 draw last Friday in Tulsa. Kickoff for the return leg in Los Angeles is scheduled for 7:30pm CDT.
THE BROADCASTS – Fans in Tulsa can listen to the match live on AM 1300 with Jeremie Poplin calling the action. The pregame show will begin at 9:15PM. The match will be available for viewing online through the USL Match Center.
WATCH PARTY IN TULSA – Empire Bar and the Roustabouts will host the official Watch Party for the match. Empire is located at 1516 S. Peoria Avenue in Tulsa.
SECOND TIME AROUND – Tulsa and Los Dos battled to a 2-2 draw last Friday at ONEOK Field. The Galaxy II took a 2-0 lead on goals from Jeffrey Payeras and Jack McBean, but the Roughnecks got a penalty kick goal from captain Sammy Ochoa in the 41st minute and an own goal early in the second half to secure the draw.

NEARING THE HALFWAY POINT – Friday’s match is the 14th of the regular season for the Roughnecks, one short of the halfway point of the 30-game season. Through 13 matches, TRFC has 8 points with a 2-9-2 record. Los Dos has 23 points in 15 matches with a 5-2-8 record. The two losses are tied for third lowest in the league, trailing only Louisville City and Red Bulls II who have only one loss each
MCBEAN TO MLS – The Galaxy II have lost the services of McBean, the USL’s leading goals scorer with 12. The forward signed an MLS contract to join the Los Angeles Galaxy.
MATT LAGRASSA JOINS ROUGHNECKS ON LOAN – The Roughnecks have announced the addition of midfielder Matt LaGrassa on loan from Sacramento Republic FC. LaGrassa is in his rookie season with Sacramento following his college career at Cal-Poly University where he was a two-time All-Big West Conference performer for the Mustangs.
Also this week, the Roughnecks and Adriano Pellegrino agreed to a mutual release for the Australian midfielder. Pellegrino is looking to return to a team in Thailand or Australia.
TAYLOR DEBUT – Bryce Taylor became second local product, joining Cristian Mata, to play for the Roughnecks when he came on as a second-half substitute against Los Dos. Taylor played for several local clubs as a youth and played for Broken Arrow High School.
RAMOS CARPIO HONORED – Jasson Ramos Carpio earned a spot on the USL Team of the Week for his performance against the Galaxy II. It was the first such honor for the young midfielder. Carpio set up the own goal with a bending corner kick and was a constant threat for the Los Dos backline during the match.
ROUGHNECKS HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS – The Roughnecks will play a pair of home matches during the July 4th Holiday Weekend. TRFC will host Arizona United on Friday, July 1 and San Antonio FC on Sunday, July 3.
