TULSA – FC Tulsa came out a winner in Tulsa Young Professional’s (TYPROS) virtual 2020 Boomtown Awards on Friday evening, hosted at the Tulsa Aquarium. The club was awarded the Organization Boomtown Award, recognizing an organization who stood out by making Tulsa an awesome place for young professionals to live, work and play.
One of three nominees for TYPROS’ Organization Boomtown Award, FC Tulsa was joined as a nominee by Tulsa Responds and The Mine Tulsa. These two organizations have done great work throughout the year. Tulsa Responds has provided crucial work addressing challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic while The Mine Tulsa has provided work experience to 25 recent college graduates who lost internships due to the pandemic.
“Winning this award is a great honor for all of us associated with FC Tulsa,” said FC Tulsa president James Cannon. “To be recognized alongside others who served our city well in this difficult year is humbling and something we don’t take for granted. FC Tulsa has shown throughout this first season that our club remains focused on being a positive asset for our community and our fans.”
With FC Tulsa’s 2020 season in the books, the club has already started looking forward to the 2021 season. Season Ticket Memberships for a full 2021 season will go on sale at www.fctulsa.com next week.
