Contest to be Held on July 1 at Mother Road Market
TULSA – FC Tulsa will continue its tradition of celebrating Canada Day on July 1 at Bodhi’s Bowl 4th Annual Poutine Eating Contest at Mother Road Market. With Canadian midfielder Kembo Kibato on hand to meet and greet fans and participants, next Friday’s event will be full teams stuffing their faces with Canada’s favorite dish.
From 6-8 p.m. on Mother Road Market’s large patio, 10 teams of four members each will compete in a relay race style eating contest to down platefuls of poutine as quickly as humanly possible. Kibato, fellow midfielder Petar Čuić and FC Tulsa staff will be at the event to sell merch, treat fans to giveaways and enjoy some free poutine.
Bodhi’s Bowl will be holding a “hardest slapshot” competition with the winner having a $1,000 donation in their name to Food on the Move. Cabin Boys Brewery will also be at the event passing out beer samples. With free poutine and drink specials at The Wel Bar, it will be a fun and affordable Friday night for all of Tulsa.
