High School & College
Batista played for Oklahoma FC at a club level while also playing for Heritage Hall High School. He won five club state championships and three high school state championships. He scored 25 goals and 15 assists as a center back in high school. He won Newcomer of the Year as a freshman and Defensive MVP of his high school three years in a row. Batista was also a state champion in basketball and won the rebounding award as a senior. He also is a regional winner in the 4×4 relay in track. After high school, Batista moved California to attend the University of California, Santa Barbara. Batista played one season for the Gauchos and during that season he appeared in 18 matches drawing 11 starts amassing a total of 1,127 minutes. He was named to the Big West All-Freshman team following the season.
